Have you often found yourself wondering whether you should go for eyebrow threading or waxing? We are sure you have. Today, when thick eyebrows are the best thing that can happen to a woman, the beauty industry has shifted its paradigm towards well-shaped and groomed thick eyebrows. The era of stick-thin eyebrows is long gone.

Main Differences

Although both threading and waxing do not permanently remove unwanted hair from eyebrows, women often tend to choose what is convenient for them. In waxing, all hair on which the wax is applied is removed. Threading involves removing every single hair, one by one. Both must be done by experts because you definitely do not want anyone messing with your eyebrows. One wrong move and your entire face look can change.

Many beauty gurus are now against threading. They believe that this procedure damages the hair follicle and can also cause a rash. Not only that, but they also say that when the follicle is damaged, hair growth gets affected. In case the hair gets broken, it will grow faster and that too in a different direction. Moreover, there is also a chance that the follicle is permanently damaged; consequently, the hair will not grow there again.

Waxing does not kill the hair follicle. It provides amazing results and is recommended to those clients who have very thick hair. For such people, threading is extremely painful. Waxing is better (although it is painful too but less) and it also improves the texture of the hair by making it more soft and fine. However, eyebrows must be waxed by a professional only. You do not want someone to completely remove a patch of your eyebrow because such instances have been reported. Always get an eyebrow wax done from a good and experienced individual. Apart from that, waxing must not be done if the person is using Retinol or any other chemical peels. Reason being, the skin is sensitive and waxing can cause a rash. Experts do not recommend eyebrow waxing to those with sensitive skin too. It can be aggressive for them.

Which Lasts Longer?

It all depends on your hair growth. Many women say that they observed a decrease in their hair growth and thickness post eyebrow waxing. On the contrary, many still go for threading as they are more accustomed to it. Both procedures are not permanent. It usually takes about 3-4 weeks on average for someone to get their eyebrow waxed or threaded. Therefore, they both last for the same duration.
